It's not every day a newspaper highlights an outdoor writer for an article, and it's doubly as rare to have one written about an outdoors writer who is stationed in the Upper Peninsula.

Excerpt: Characters come in all shapes and sizes. They usually aren't household names or otherwise really popular.

They are found most anywhere and only takes a little looking and listening to search them out. When you do find one it's quite often a surprise because generally, they are under your nose.

Jim Junttila is a great example. The name may not be familiar but there's a good chance you've seen his photographs in travel brochures, magazine articles, or on the web.
