Grand Rapids Press points out the wonderful taste of Keweenaw restaurants

There may not be the sheer number of restaurant choices in the Keweenaw Peninsula as there are in areas like Metro Detroit, Traverse City or Grand Rapids, but what they lack in quantity they make up for in quality.

Just ask the Grand Rapids Press, which recently ran an article outlining the tasty treats visitors (and residents!) of the Keweenaw Peninsula can find.

Grand Rapids Press excerpt:

It must be something in the pizza sauce. Taste alone can't explain why locals and visitors seem to clamor for the special pie at The Ambassador Restaurant in this college town and gateway to the Keewenaw Peninsula in the western U.P.

The restaurant is among several worthwhile gastronomic — and surprisingly global — stops in Houghton, home to Michigan Technological University along the Portage Waterway that pours into Lake Superior.
