New book set in fictional town in Upper Peninsula

It's always nice to have the Upper Peninsula recognized, even when it's for some of the more rare and unlikely occurrences.

The Discovery Health Channel program Strange Pregnancies will be featuring a U.P. native and a U.P. hospital when it premiers this year, according to the Marquette Mining Journal.

Excerpt: Featured on the show will be Sault Ste. Marie resident Sarah Reinfelder and Marquette physicians Dr. Connie Hedmark, Dr. Breanna Pond and Dr. Julia Frei. The show will air on Discovery Health at 9 p.m. Monday.

On Feb. 26, 2009, Reinfelder gave birth to twin girls, Kaylin Joy and Valerie Marie, from two separate uteri at Marquette General Hospital. She has what's called uterus didelphys, meaning she has two uteri.
