We're fortunate here in the Upper Peninsula because winter just never wants to really leave. That makes us the envy of all those folks who only have three or four months of snow, ice and chilly temperatures and, in turn, makes us a great winter destination.

OK, that may be a bit of an exaggeration. But for skiers and snowboarders, the pokey arrival of warm weather and abundant snow-making over Ski Brule's entire 150 acres of terrain means this popular resort will be open well into late April.
