Downtown co-working space ready for the spotlight, readies ribbon cutting and open house

It’s time to show off.

Though City Office has already recently opened for business, the 12,000 sq. ft. co-working space located in City Market has yet to celebrate its success. That will all change on Thursday, March 14, as City Office commemorates its opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house.

True to its intent, the open house will feature a host of Bay City vendors. There will be food and drinks from many of its City Market neighbors, including Elaine’s Bake Shop, the Harvest Store, Modern Craft Winery, Tex-Mex Grille La Tejana, That Guy’s BBQ, and Wrapin-N-Rollin. The Petal Boutique will provide floral arrangements.

"There will be lots of things to sample and enjoy in a beautiful space," says Nicole Kinde, office manager for City Office.

"Supporting local businesses is extremely important to us. It’s what we’re about, working together. Success definitely breeds success."

City Office is geared toward working professionals and entrepreneurs without an office of their own. It draws people out of their home offices and into a shared workspace in downtown Bay City.

It’s everything you’d want in an office and all in one place, says Kinde. It’s modern, flexible, and, she says, affordable.

"We want to make sure that people have the opportunity to come in and look around and see what their next step forward can be," Kinde says.

The ribbon-cutting and open house is scheduled from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 14. It is free and open to the public.

City Office is located in City Market at 401 Center Ave. in downtown Bay City.
