New behavior and speech therapy center celebrates its expanded facility in Bay City

Though they’ve only been open since 2018, Encompass Therapy Center has quickly established itself as one of the top behavior and speech therapy centers in the state.

State Sen. Kevin Daley toured the center.With a Level 3 accreditation from Behavioral Health Center of Excellence, that organization’s highest grade, Encompass is now celebrating another milestone.

Encompass celebrated the grand opening of its brand new therapy center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Fri., July 31.

The therapy center was designed and constructed with its young clients in mind.

"It feels fantastic. We’re really excited. We’ve been working on this for a year and a half. We designed it. We worked with the construction crew. It feels great to have a building that’s fully functional for children and therapy," says Ashley Blake, executive clinical director and owner of Encompass Therapy Center.

"This represents a whole new level of what we offer, a whole new level of care."

Encompass offers Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and speech therapy services. The new building will allow Encompass to expand its offerings, too. Blake says they will soon begin offering feeding therapy services.

When Encompass opened, the therapy center was run out of a 2,000-square-foot leased space in a business center. It was pretty early on the organization realized it needed more room.

The move not only gave them that space, but so much more.

Encompass is now located in an 8,000-square-foot therapy center they designed themselves, built specifically for the services they offer. There are large play rooms, 13 therapy rooms, and an observation room. A kitchen was built so the staff at Encompass can teach their students life and job skills.

The building was designed so each room has a window. An on-site playground is essential to their style of therapy; a day typically consists of multiple lessons inside and out.

A July ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrated the opening of the new therapy center at 3710 Katalin Court in Bay City.The move also means that Encompass will be able to double the amount of children that it serves, from 25 to 50.

"This was all designed for young children in therapy," Blake says.
