Community Testing Day features vaccines, information, and health screenings

Great Lakes Bay Pride and Great Lakes Bay Health Centers are hosting a Community Testing Day on Sat., Sept. 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Hearth Home, 732 Hoyt Ave. in Saginaw.

Everyone in the Great Lakes Bay Region is invited to the event where free, confidential tests and resources will be available.

The day features several services, including: HIV testing; COVID-19 vaccines for anyone 12 years old and older; flu vaccines for anyone 12 years and older; take-home COVID-19 tests; and MPV (monkeypox) vaccines for people over 18.

The event also features information about a range of community services.

Each visitors who uses at least one service provided at Community Testing Day will be entered to win a $25 gift card. The first 50 visitors will receive a free pizza lunch.

“Great Lakes Bay Pride is thrilled to again partner with Great Lakes Bay Health Centers to host an event that helps get more health resources into our communities. These two organizations frequently collaborate as key resources for the LGBTQ+ community in the Great Lakes Bay Region,” says Scott Ellis, Executive Director of Great Lakes Bay Pride.
