California-based MyBuys plans to bring up jobs, 250 to be
exact now that the Michigan Economic
Development Corporation has approved a tax-break to make it happen.
MyBuys, which makes personalized
product recommendations for online-retailers, plans to invest $5.4 million to set
up an Ann Arbor office. The project is expected
to create 250 jobs directly from the company and another 350 spin-off jobs.
The Michigan Economic Growth Authority approved a 10-year, $3.9
million state tax credit for the project. The incentive helped make the
decision to set up shop here instead of a competing site in Austin, Texas.
