Concordia expands electronic offerings at Ann Arbor campus

Not all tech amenities at local institutions of higher learning are found at the University of Michigan or Eastern Michigan University. Concordia University on Ann Arbor's east side is getting in on the action as well.

The small liberal arts college is expanding its broadcast features and adding an emergency alert system. The university is also adding 10 internal channels on its cable system that can to be used for airing announcements along with university sports and chapel services.

Concordia will air emergency announcements as part of the college's new alert system. The system can alert the entire campus via campus and dorm room TVs and also with emails and text messages.

Concordia University is a Lutheran college controlled by the church's Missouri Synod.
