Kentaro Web Design adds 4 to staff thanks to real-estate web work

Kentaro Web Design + SEO has hired five people over the last two years with one dominant trend: Four of those five have been graduates or students of Eastern Michigan University. The fifth went to the University of Michigan.

"We're really happy to be hiring local talent," says Kentaro Roy, president & founder of Kentaro Web Design + SEO.

Roy, a license realtor, started the downtown Ann Arbor-based company after he spent years working in the real-estate. He got his start doing some freelance web work for real-estate professionals because "there weren't any local companies catering to that niche," Roy says.

As the real-estate market has clawed its way back to a semblance of normalcy, Kentaro Web Design + SEO has been there to help spread online presence for local real-estate professionals. Most of the firm's clients are in Michigan and Kentaro wants to continue to grow his company's client base in Metro Detroit.

Kentaro Web Design + SEO has made four of its hires in the last year, including a vice president of development, account executive and sales professionals. Kentaro plans to add a few interns this summer, too.
