Latitude brings technology jobs to Saline, plans for expansion

Saline-based Latitude is on a fast track, or at least that's what Washtenaw County says.

The technology consultant company has averaged about 20 percent growth over the last three years while creating about 30 jobs in the last year or so. It also has plans to add another dozen jobs, bring their grand total to nearly 100 people. Yeah, that's more than enough to qualify it for the county's Fast Track award.

"We're seeing a lot of demand for business intelligence solutions," says Kurt Crisman, marketing manager for Latitude. "Those help businesses get a hold of their data and make the best decisions."

Business intelligence is one of the things that Latitude specializes in, along with system integration and learning management. It all boils down to the idea that Latitude knows how to make their client's businesses run more efficiently and cost effective. And it does that well, attracting clients like Chrysler.

It's also rolling out the LatitudeU platform to share and sell online training and related content. The website is open to the public. Those whose use it can either share or sell on-line courses on virtually any subject.

It's just Latitude's way of helping get other people and business on the fast track it's traveling on.
