Logic Solutions to add five jobs here, expand into Chinese markets

Thirteen years ago, Jimmy Hsiao didn't have a perfect plan for Logic Solutions. Actually, that's probably putting it a little too nicely for the founder of the Ann Arbor-based software development company (which started as an Internet business).

"When I started I had no idea what to do," Hsiao says. "But I figured it out eventually."

And oh has he. Not only has the company survived the rollercoaster economy, it's thriving. The 120-person firm (40 in the U.S. and 80 in China) has grown its revenue 20 percent and added 25 people (five locally) in the last year. And the expectation is to repeat those numbers in the next year.

A big part of that growth is because of China. Logic Solutions has been helping manage software development and IT for quite a few companies there in the last few years.

The firm is focusing on capitalizing on that growth but would like to diversify its client base to firms outside of China and Michigan in the near future.

This time Hsiao has a very good idea about what he wants to do.
