Bridjet Post

Midland native Bridjet Post has traveled nonstop for years--first as an auto show model, and now for her current job as a media developer for Six Degrees Media.  It's no surprise that, when she finally returns home to Royal Oak, she likes to hang out close by in the downtown district.  Bridjet loves the fresh seafood at Tom's Oyster Bar (318 S. Main St., (248) 541-1186), as well as the tableside fare prepared at Boodles (935 W. 11 Mile, (248) 399-5960), "for a low-key, quick dinner, since I'm always on the go." The sharp knives and small plates at Katana (111 S. Main St., (248) 591-9900) make the nu-Asian steakhouse her favorite for cultural cuisine.
Bridjet adores shopping, especially at high-end hotspot The Annex (738 S. Washington, (248) 808-6843) for their "really fun, really cool accessories."  If she has time, she browses for one-of-a-kind finds at Lost and Found Vintage (510 S. Washington, (248) 548-6154).  Bridjet relies on Incognito (323 S. Main St., (248) 548-2980) when she only has time to run in and grab a pair of shoes before catching a flight.  "I also stocked up on leg warmers last time I was there!"  she says.  "They have crazy colors, like hot pink and argyle."
"I'm a relationship builder,"  Bridjet  says about her career. So, at night, she tries to see and be seen at as many Royal Oak hotspots as she can hit.  For happy hour, Bridjet loves Andiamo (129 S. Main St., (248) 582-9300).  "They usually have a singer and great specials," she confides.  But her after-work cocktail hour usually doesn't begin until 7 or 8 p.m., "unless I can try to schedule a late meeting at the bar!"  For live music, she talks up DJ Ben Scott at the Elevated Thursdays party at Small Plates (310 S. Main St., (248). 543-3300).  Upscale saloon Black Finn (530 S. Main St., (248) 582-9460), billiards bar 5th Avenue, (215 W. Fifth Ave, (248) 542-9922) and a hip downstairs hideaway called the Commune Lounge at Bastone (419 S. Main, (248) 544-6250 ) all make her list of can't-be-missed weekend spots.  Bridjet always tries to end the night at Rock on 3rd (112 E. Third St, (248) 542-7625).  "I see the same familiar faces.  I dance my way into the bar, and the bartenders are already laying out shots for me and the girls!"
