Since joining Valassis I have been able to offer my expertise in engineering and management of our VMware virtual infrastructure. I also provide engineering and support for our www.redplum.com web infrastructure and tier 3 support for our back office server infrastructure where I get to work with a great team of talented architects, application, database, operations, server, and network engineers as well as the dynamic business and sales teams we support.
I'm proud to say I work with Valassis because I feel they are a company who understands consumers and has constantly provided value through their partners and most recently through our www.redplum.com portal where you can get money saving coupons for many common items. Valassis is also a big supporter of community charity and has an active internal "green" initiative. This company culture has encouraged and allowed me to pursue my own personal development and charitable involvement. During the past two years they have given me the support to get my VMware VCP 3 and 4 certifications and is supporting me going back to earn a masters degree in business and management. Also, I currently volunteer an average of 25 hours a month to the local county where I have participated in many great things like the Special Olympics, various parades, children safety seminars as well as providing public safety services.
