A donation from Dow Corning is having an impact up north in the U.P.'s Sault Ste. Marie, where university students and researchers are making good use of a new electron microscope from the Midland company.
Excerpt: A donation by Dow-Corning of Midland, Michigan to the Department of Chemistry and Environmental Sciences has provided Lake Superior State University with its first electron microscope.
The instrument is already being used to study tiny microfossils and the air quality of Sault Ste. Marie.
