Michigan Jazz Trail Festival saw such success, next year is already in the works

In some circles, when you think of Saginaw and Bay City, you think of jazz, especially if you've ever had the pleasure of hearing Sharrie Williams sing. The recent Michigan Jazz Trail Festival highlighted that aspect of Bay area culture.

The international jazzman who once called Bay City home took the stage Sunday at The Dow Event Center following a stage full of little singers from the First Ward Community Center, Mike Brush and Julie Mulady and a tearful Sharrie Williams telling her hometown audience “I’m here to stay."
