Closed Kmart to become storage, shipping facility

Not every aging strip mall or closed department store has a happy ending, but a Kmart in Saginaw Township will, as it's been bought by a company with plans to renovate and use the property.

Los Angeles-based DealPoint Merrill, a subsidiary of The Merrill Group of Companies, which is a real estate development and property management firm, has purchased the former Kmart store and vacant plaza on Bay Road.
