It's amazing how much companies will spend to make sure their interests are being lobbied for in Washington--just ask Dow Chemical.
Excerpt: Dow Chemical Co. spent $1.15 million in the third quarter to lobby the government on issues ranging from trade to energy efficiency, according to a recent disclosure report.
The chemical manufacturer's lobbying expenditure compared with the $2.7 million it spent in the second quarter and $1.4 million that it spent in the third quarter of 2009.
