The economy has not been kind to some industries in Michigan and one in particular that has suffered has been that of lumber. However, one company in Midland has weathered tough storms before, and they're proving that experience, hard work and dedication is keeping them going strong.

Building on a reputation for impeccable customer service forged through more than 120 years of success, Blanchard-based DeWitt Lumber Company has expanded its operation to Midland.
The full-service lumber company, one of the oldest of its kind in Michigan, has opened a new store at 1875 E. Airport Road. Owner Matt Esch participated in Midland's annual Home & Garden Show at Northwood University to introduce his business to a community he's looking forward to serving.
