Bay City man essential to President's Michigan visit

A lot of behind-the-scenes work went on for President Obama's recent visit to the U.P. of Michigan, and one vital part was due to Bay City businessman Scott Holman, who helped set up the wireless links the President was here to praise.

Excerpt: President Barack Obama visited Michigan's Upper Peninsula to recognize a project very close to the heart of a Saginaw County man.

He stopped in Marquette where he announced his plans to use $18 billion in federal money to get the nation connected to the Internet.

Speaking at Northern Michigan University, he cited the school's progress in wireless Internet connectivity as an example of the future for the nation.
