It's always a joyous occasion when a town can welcome home its soldiers. That's what Midland folks were able to do this week.
Excerpt: Forty-five minutes before the scheduled return of the 1460th Transportation Company to Midland's Dow High School, there wasn't a parking spot to be found.
Family, friends and members of the community came out in droves Tuesday, Sept. 23, for the return of the more than 100 servicemen and women to Midland after nearly a year of deployment in Afghanistan.
