Saginaw Valley State University students took part in alternative spring breaks

Spring break for college students is all about parties, relaxation and, of course, more parties, right? Not if you're one of the students from Saginaw Valley State University that decided their time was far more valuable to those who needed a helping hand than it was wasted away with revelry.

Excerpt: Some Saginaw Valley State University students decided to forego spring break revelry for a chance to help others.

A group of 42 students participated in SVSU's Alternative Breaks program last week. The drug-and alcohol-free student organization sends groups of students on week-long service trips during winter and spring breaks.
