Midland taxidermist mounts largest non-typical whitetail on record in Michigan

There are few trophies that taxidermists haven't seen. If you have a big walleye you caught, they probably have seen one just as big, if not bigger. A nice turkey? They've seen it. A big bear? Done that. So what is the Stanley Cup of the taxidermy world? A state record, for starters.

Pohl, owner of Midstate Taxidermy south of Midland, got a call from Ron Waldron of Ann Arbor in August.

Waldron wanted to know: Would Pohl be interested in mounting a replica of the largest non-typical whitetail deer ever recorded in the state of Michigan?
