Career Quest opens new campus in Kalamazoo

A private career education company is opening a new campus in Kalamazoo.

Career Quest Learning Centers is now accepting enrollment for its winter classes beginning Jan. 10. Enrollment information is available online or at 877-851-7898.

Career Quest offers classes in business, health care and information technology.

Career Quest classes focus on specific skills students need to obtain employment. The curriculum is designed with input from community-based advisory boards and local community employers.

The school offers flexible schedules for working adults. Programs range from three weeks to 9 months. The learning center offers small class sizes, career advisors and instructors with career experience. Before graduating, students get assistance with resumes, portfolios and go through interview coaching.

The campus is located at 5115 Portage Road, Kalamazoo. It was developed with green principles in mind and includes reuse of an existing structure and an existing circular cafe will be the student center. Furnishings include recycled materials.

"We chose Kalamazoo because of the city's diverse economic environment, its demonstrated commitment to education and its growing focus on health care and health care jobs," says Guy Bell, president and chief executive officer of Career Quest

Career Quest Learning Centers, Inc., is a privately held career education institution with headquarters in Lansing, Mich. and campuses in Lansing, Jackson and Kalamazoo. Career Quest has served more than 3,000 students since its founding in 1995.
