An alliance between Battle Creek's Digital Highway Solutions and the Foxboro, Mass.-based Axeda is expected to keep the growth curve going up for both companies.
DH Solutions has experienced significant growth in its technical staff over the past two years. It's added three staff members in the last 12 months and another two hires are anticipated by the end of the first quarter in 2011. Digital Highway, the corporate parent of DH solutions employs 40 people, of which 10 work for DH solutions.
Company officials say the partnership with Axeda will indirectly create jobs as some code development is outsourced to local programmers.
As part of the alliance agreement,
DH Solutions will resell Axeda's Platform with machine to machine hardware integration and carrier services. Machine to machine technologies, also known as M2M, allow both wireless and wired systems to communicate with other devises of the same ability.
By working together, the companies will be able to get products out to their customers more quickly.
"Through our collaboration with Axeda, our customers have out-of-the-box access to an on-demand M2M platform that is easily adapted to a variety of wireless applications," says Brian Rosema, executive director, sales and marketing, DH Solutions.
Founded in 1999, Digital Highway Wireless Solutions played a key role in the deployment of some of the first M2M solutions in North America. Its products include a range of wireless modems and related components, carrier services with all major wireless carriers as well as personal voice and data devices.
Axeda Corp.'s cloud platform and applications enable customers to rapidly connect, build, and manage powerful M2M applications for connected products. Axeda is in the Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing companies for 2010.
