MVB Improvements helps companies better their bottom lines

MVB Improvements needs to add three new employees -- a technical engineer, a programmer and a CAD designer -- to its staff.

And it’s no wonder. The company is moving from its current Three Rivers location -- a 1,932-square-foot building -- to an 8,315 square-foot facility at 900 East Hoffman Street in mid-May to accommodate an influx of new business.

What exactly does MVB do? "We take an assembly process and help our customers improve it," Munro says, then offers an example. "If our customer makes 800 parts a day and wants to make 1,000 parts day, we can help them achieve that goal in a variety of ways, through turn-key cost savings."

Optimizing process flow, reducing downtime, reducing labor through automation, flexing labor and adding error detection are some of the ways MVB creates changes that can go into immediate use to save companies’ money.

Munro says that MVB Improvements is a catalyst for spiked production in several industries -- including automotive, steel mill, medical, packaging and paper mills.

"Our company is in business to help other businesses save money," Munro says. "Everything we do for our customers -- whether the economy is good or bad -- will save them money in the long run."

It is a process that seems to work well for MVB Improvements and its clients, according to Munro.

"We had one customer that improved efficiency by 20 percent -- it was a payback of all of our costs," Munro said. "And it happened in less than two days."
