Detroit Free Press says Kalamazoo River is example for others coming above ground

Bringing streams and rivers that have been shut away underground for decades is a growing trend in urban centers and Detroiters are looking at the possibility of that happening for Bloody Run Creek, the Detroit Free Press reports.

The story says the nearest similar project was downtown Kalamazoo's Arcadia Creek in the 1990s.
