The Battle Creek Area Math and Science Center liked Gov. Rick Snyder's "one tough nerd" campaign theme so much it's used it on a billboard in downtown Lansing, reports the Detroit Free Press.
A giant pair of eyeglasses shows the words, "Support all of Michigan's tough nerds."

Connie Duncan, director of the Battle Creek center, said the billboard aims to heighten awareness of all math and science centers in Michigan. In a release, she explained: "In light of recent budget deficits and anticipating further fiscal tightening in the near future, we wanted to remind lawmakers how important math and science are to Michigan's future, especially in the innovation sector."
