Local Community Action honored with national award

It's always nice to receive recognition for the work you do, especially when that recognition comes from the national level. A community action group is Sault Ste. Marie was the recipient of such attention recently.

Excerpt: The Chippewa-Luce-Mackinac Community Actin Agency (CLMCAA) is one of 14 agencies across America that was competitively selected as a winner of the 2010 National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Award by the National Community Action Partnership.

The partnership is the national membership organization representing over 1,000 Community Action agencies throughout the United States.

CLMCAA won this award in recognition of its outstanding work in promoting community development as a core strategy in promoting economic security and reducing poverty.
