U.P. is on the lips of everyone these days and, surprisingly, it's not just in the Upper Peninsula. The Morning Sun reported that the book's author, who happens to be a Central Michigan University graduate, will be discussing his novel in Mt. Pleasant this week.

On Thursday afternoon this award-winning writer and 1996 Central Michigan University graduate will return to Mt. Pleasant to speak about his 'brutal coming of age' novel
U.P.Riekki, who will be on the fifth leg of a 20-leg tour promoting his book and its potential production on the big screen, will speak at 4 p.m. Thursday in the Kiva Room located inside of Moore Hall. The event is free to the public.
