The developers behind the 409 Center Street project are looking to put up downtown Royal Oak's newest building quickly. So quickly they hope to have it done and open by December even though they just broke ground. That means construction workers would seemingly have to build at Sims speed.
When finished, the three-story building will house a branch of the Douglas J Aveda Institute. The beauty school will occupy 15,000 square feet of the 35,000-square-foot building. The project is adding about 12,000 square feet to an existing structure, building on a vacant lot.
The rest of the retail space in the building is still up for lease to retail occupants that would compliment the beauty salon. For information, call Mark Lisenby at (800) 442-3933.
