Plans to build the Royal Park Condominiums and Spa in downtown Rochester are moving forward, pending approval from the city.
The Rochester City Planning Commission will discuss plans for the proposed Royal Park Condominiums and Spa at 7:30 p.m. Monday (Feb. 5) at the Rochester Municipal Building, 400 Sixth Street.
The Royal Park Condominiums and Spa is located at the E. Second and Elizabeth streets, adjacent to the Royal Park Hotel. The condo plans call for building a four-story, 18,000-square-foot structure with 64 condos. Units will range in sizes from 1,300 to 2,800 square feet with two to three possible bedrooms each. A parking platform will also be built adjacent to the condo building.
A spa and medical building will be constructed adjacent to the Royal Park Hotel and condo building. The 6,000-square-foot, two-story medical building will house a spa and plastic surgery offices. A tunnel will connect the medical building to the hotel for people using both the hotel and medical building.
The Rochester Planning Commission must still set a public hearing for the project before it can approve it.
