3Sixty adds three in six months

Everyone agrees that the economy's not great. But for some businesses, like Fenton's 3Sixty Interactive, that's not all bad. The company has grown from one to seven employees in the last six years, adding three new positions in the last six months alone.

"What’s happened, quite honestly, is that when business is really good people tend to take for granted the tools you have to market yourself," says founder Dale Keipert. "As the economy gets tougher, people are getting more serious about online investments, and are looking harder at the return on investment."

No more are the days, Keipert says, when a company could build a quickie do it yourself homepage and count on reaping the e-commerce rewards.

"Companies don’t have income any more to throw out a Web site and hope it works, throw out a marketing strategy and hope it works," he says.

In the past six months, 3Sixty has added one sales person and two support staff.

"I hope there’s more to come," Keipert says. "Based on sales growth, we're probably going to need one more programmer by end of the second quarter, and I'm hoping will need another by the end of the year."
