More tax breaks are leading to more high tech jobs and more multi-million dollar investment in Madison Heights.
Netlink Software Group plans to invest $4 million to expand its facilities in Madison Heights, and also in Southfield, so it can move in 150 jobs and hire more than 400 people within the next two years. Netlink choose Metro Detroit over Denver.
"This is just a great community," says Bruce MacDonald, a spokesman for Netlink. "It has a tremendous support base."
Most of the investment will go into the old MSX building, 999 Tech Row, in Madison Heights, which had been vacant since late 2003. Michigan's state and local governments are giving the corporation about $3.7-million dollar in tax breaks in exchange for the investment. It will still maintain its office in Southfield.
