WARM Training Center offers seminars on Energy Star standards

Next month, the WARM Training Center will be offering three sessions for builders interested in what it takes to make Energy Star standards.

Funded through a Michigan Department of Energy grant, the three-hour program will use real-life examples of houses built in Michigan and compare them to several different energy standards using software that's used nationally for energy assessments.

"We'll look at what it would take, in terms of strategies, materials and costs to get these homes to each of the different standards," said Jacob Corvidae, Green Programs Manager at WARM.

The sessions will be held on March 8, at 1pm in Oakland County, on March 9 at 8:30am in Ann Arbor, and on March 27 at 9 am in Farmington Hills.

Admission is free, and pre-registration is required.

Forms are available from Corvidae via email at Jacob@warmtraining.org or by calling (313) 894-1030, extension 119.
