Engineering and IT firm plans to triple employment to 1,500 by 2011

Novi-based Incat, a global engineering and IT provider, aims to double its revenue and triple its employment -- to 1,500 -- by 2011.

"We're not moving to Texas. We're not going back to the U.K. We're not moving anywhere despite all the gloom and doom with all the bankruptcies in the auto-supply chain," [CEO Warren] Harris said.

"In terms of product development, this is still the center of the universe. You look at the Japanese and the Korean transplants, and they are all moving their research centers here. This is still very much the center, from a resource perspective, of most of the talent in product development," Harris said.
