The fine minds at the University of Michigan-Dearborn School of Management have come up with a way to measure innovation – and Michigan’s not doing so badly.

On the positive side, federal data showed strong growth in the proportion of Michiganders working as scientists or engineers. “This indicator has improved for four consecutive quarters,” (University of Michigan-Dearborn Associate Professor Lee) Redding said.
