Shazaaam adds 3 jobs, plans to double staff in 2 years

Adrienne Lenhoff spent a decade of her career marketing music and film projects, so when she moved back to Metro Detroit to take care of an ailing family member she saw a void for that kind of work here. Ten years ago, that led to the creation of Shazaaam. Today the Novi-based firm employs 15 people, six interns and 140 independent contractors.

"We doubled our revenues from the previous year," says Adrienne Lenhoff, president & CEO of Shazaaam. "We had offices in Southfield but my family bought a building in Novi so we moved out here. We're looking to double our staff in the next 24 months."

Lenhoff worked out of her house in those first years, creating online marketing campaigns. She landed her first big client, Faygo, six years ago and has been steadily growing since then.

Shazaaam has added three employees and a few independent contractors over the last year. It plans to keep hiring for its online promotions work this year.
