Ann Arbor's VeoProject organizes virtually, creates 4-6 jobs

VeoProject is making a name for itself locally, but the people behind hope to make it a household name next.

VeoProject is in the process of taking its taking its third step. The first two --creating the project-management product and getting someone to use it-- are done. Turning their Internet software into a household name is the next step in their run for the big time.

VeoProject, created by Ann Arbor-based Bitcarvers, is a lot like Microsoft Project. It helps users manage projects, tasks and their everyday worklife ...except its done from a website. This allows users to access it from anywhere they can get an Internet connection. In comparison, Microsoft Office is run from a single computer or system.

"It's really easy to do something because it's online, so you have easy access to documents and you can coordinate from anywhere," says John Wyderko, chief technology officer of VeoProject.
