VOX Global opens Troy office

Vox Global is opening a new office in Metro Detroit this spring, and plans to employ a handful of people there within a year.

Local public relations professional Joe Steele is opening the office in Troy for VOX Global. The communications agency based in Washington, D.C., specializes in public affairs work in a broad range of industries. Those include green technology and education.

"We're hoping to grow and establish ourselves here," says Steele, a senior vice president with VOX Global. We're planning to add more people beside me."

Steele led VOX Global's public affairs consulting work for AT&T across the state. The Michigan State University graduate and Livonia resident has also spent several years working in the public sector, specifically with the Michigan Secretary of State, the state House of Representatives and as a staffer on a number of statewide and local political campaigns.

VOX Global has offices in Boston; Indianapolis, Little Rock, Ark., and Portland, Maine.
