We all know that this isn't the first Hollywood production here in Michigan. But there is significance to this new Civil War-era feature film. It'll be the first in the Allen Park-based Unity Studios.

Detroit movie studio says its first feature will be a Civil War-era film.
Unity Studios in Allen Park will partner with The Henry Ford on "A Christmas Dream."
The announcement was made Tuesday at a graduation ceremony for 106 students of the Lifton Institute for Media Skills, who were trained for jobs in the film industry.
Unity Studios says many of the graduates will be hired to work on A
Christmas Dream, which is about a mother and daughter living in the
South during the Civil War.
