New Headquarters for Troy's AxleTech

AxleTech International unveiled their new Troy headquarters on Sept. 17 -- a state-of-the-art 210,000 sq. ft facility that will house the company's manufacturing and production groups, as well as nearly 200 employees.

AxleTech, a General Dynamics company, is a global provider of axles, suspensions, brake systems and aftermarket components for heavy duty commercial and military vehicles.

The new facility will immediately house three major components of the company's production -- from shipping heavy-duty commercial and military vehicle parts around the world, to global brake assembly and remanufacturing. Additionally, AxleTech's new engineering and technical center will unite product development, quality assurance and testing under one roof.

A crowd of over 300 guests, including U.S. Rep Gary Peters, Michigan State Senator John Pappageorge and Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson, attended the grand opening ceremony.

"AxleTech has experienced steady growth over the last few years and our new headquarters facility will enhance our ability to produce, deliver and service high-quality products for our customers worldwide," said Mary Petrovich, general manager and senior executive of AxleTech. "The co-location of AxleTech's expertise in design, development, testing, sales and service in our new Troy facility will allow us to exceed customer expectations for customized applications and speed to market."
