Milford's J&J turns dreams into working designs

J&J 3D Solutions makes dreams tangible. The Milford company has seen its business fluctuate with the times, but is seeing signs of an uptick. Founder John Kelly started creating 3-D prototypes for local businesses and entrepreneurs in 2007. Utilizing a special printer that forms plastic molds, Kelly takes pride in helping visioneers make something that they can show others.

J&J can create any product or toy one can imagine, and quickly too, Kelly said. Finished models feature high-definition detail and display a full spectrum of colors. A number of prototype models he has produced in the last four years have been used in manufacturing or assembly, concept presentations, geographic information systems and finite element analysis models showing areas of stress or heat.
