University Research Corridor starts transportation research program

The University Research Corridor, a coalition comprised of Michigan State University, the University of Michigan and Wayne State University, is starting new transportation research consortium.

The URC made the announcement in a press release March 3 that said the goal is "to transform the regional, state, national and, ultimately, global transportation industries."

The new program, "Transforming Transportation: Economies and Communities" will promote research that supports industry, community and government policymaking and planning, the statement said.
