Detroit is looking for a few good ideas for the old Tiger Stadium site.
The city’s Economic Development Corp., a quasi-public board, issued a request for proposals today for developers or groups who wish to redevelop the 9.5-acre site at Michigan and Trumbull. Proposals are due Aug. 2.
The EDC is not placing any restrictions on potential uses for the site. However, an existing plan developed by the city for the site envisions a mixed-use project with both retail and housing.
All proposals for the site must include a financial plan showing how a project could be paid for.
