AATA offering free bus rides as part of Curb Your Car month

Mass transit riders will be able to ride the Ann Arbor Transportation Authority buses for free May 25 as part of the city's Curb Your Car Month programs.

Local leaders hope the Free Fare Day will spike an increase in ridership and encourage local residents and commuters to try different modes of transportation. Other programs include encouraging people to walk, ride bicycles and other non-personal automobile forms of transportation.

AATA will also put an informational bike rack on display at the Ann Arbor YMCA, 400 W. Washington St., as part of Bike to Work Week on May 14-17 and the city hall on May 18.
