Apple Store set to stage grand opening in Ann Arbor

Ann Arborites debating whether to buy a Mac or PC will have a little more hands-on information to make that decision once Apple opens its third Metro Detroit store in Ann Arbor this weekend.

The Apple Store, often coveted by cities as a sign they have arrived, will stage a grand opening Saturday in the Briarwood Mall. The store will offer the full range of Apple products, such as Mac computers, iPods and iPhones.

Apple has two other Metro Detroit stores in Twelve Oaks Mall in Novi and the Somerset Mall in Troy. Briarwood is a 982,500-square-foot mall located on the city's south side at the intersection of State Street and Eisenhower Parkway just north of I-94.
