This Friday, the
Michigan Suburbs Alliance will host a Regional Redevelopment Summit at MGM Grand to coalesce the development community in Southeast Michigan.

"The premise is that our experts need to be on the same page about how we communicate about Southeast Michigan at the conference," [MSA's Melanie Piana] says.
"How do we communicate as a group? What does that mean to potential investors? Why is Michigan a great place to invest?
"We want to provide information about our community that should be driving development decisions."
The conference has three tracks: one for developers that talks pitches and deals, one that is focused on marketing and message, and another that focuses on policy. The two plenary speeches will be given by Dan Gilmartin from the
Michigan Municipal League and Geoff Anderson of
Smart Growth America.
