The William Street Station proposal for the former downtown YMCA may
include a hotel. The plan includes a new 25,500 square foot transit
center plus two 13-14 floor towers; the hotel would go in one of the
towers.
Excerpt:
One tower will have commercial and retail space and market-rate housing or a hotel. The other tower will have at least 100 units of low-income housing. The project will be built in the half block now occupied by the old YMCA and the Blake Transit Center between Fifth and Fourth avenues.
