Charter One
has relocated its downtown office from 1001 Woodward to One Kennedy
Square. In doing so, the bank has maintained its Campus Martius
frontage while increasing its public access. The branch, which opened
last week, was initially slated to open in September, but the date was
pushed up to coincide with the park's PGA activities.
"We
absolutely wanted to stay in Campus Martius and to upgrade our
facility," says Sandra Pierce, Charter One's Michigan president. "We
wanted to
be in that Class A building -- it's really strategically located,
there's so much traffic...this is our main
office branch."
The Kennedy One branch office is 5,955 square
feet and has five teller windows, six offices and a conference room.
The adjacent lobby has an additional office and a large conference room
that can be used for after-hours meetings with customers and the
community. There is also an ATM, while a second ATM and a night
depository are located on the exterior of the building for 24-hour
usage.
Charter One at Kennedy One is open 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday.
